Hi Guys, hopefully your collective brain power will be better than hours on google! I have some M48A3 (from a mates vietnam collection) and I am wondering if I can use them in Iranian service against iraq. From what I can tell they used the M48A5, which looks like the A3 but with a 105mm gun? I hope this would be all the required conversion work in 15mm?

Try this database http://portal.sipri.org/publications/pages... and pick Iran as the recipient, at the very least it'll give you the dates they started receiving M48's and it will probably give you the types too.

Brilliant, looks like I can happily change the 90mm to a 105mm on the M48A3s and use them in the Iran Iraq war. The M48A5 seems for all intents to be the same as an M60A1 for stats. Big hurrah for re-distribution of some old models!
