Peter and I got together and played a small BKCII D-Day game to commemorate 70 years.

I have posted a battle report on my blog: http://aleadodyssey.blogspot.com.au/2014/0...

Some points of note: Artillery and Air makes all the difference.

Very nice indeedCool. Having read Von Luck's memoirs, this is on my 'to-do' list as a mini-campaign. All I have to do is pull my finger out...

I think the artillery and air were a big difference, but not so much as they could be. One attack was driven off. And while the artillery were quite effective, Peter's Nebelwerfers would have been almost as good if they had been able to hit anything.

Nebelwerfers are nasty, but getting them on target is always... interesting...

Looks a cracking game, well done the Brits!

I honestly think I've had Nebelwerfers land on the heads of my own troops more often than they land on the enemy's.
