After a long hiatus from WW2 gaming (we've been heavily into Napoleonics these past few years), We found the opportunity to put on a 20mm WWII Eastern front game using Blitzkrieg Commander II that we played back in February.

It was a very small, 1000 pt game which meant a lot of nail biting when the opponent lifted the veil on his own forces, but this one turned out a triumph for the Soviets.

We were pleased to discover that even small games using BKC II can be a lot of fun. We found we really had to manage our resources carefully (especially the Germans- all their sexy techno-bling comes at a price, and there is no room for error). Soviets and Germans play quite differently in BKC II, but both had a fair shot of winning.

Shame on that OT-34, given a chance they're devastating!
