Agreed, a very nice looking table. 6mm figures, vehicles etc?

Again with the nice table Smile

Makes me want to invest in some model railway lines and an embankment!

Again, like the terrain. Was the embankment scratch built? If so how did you do it - it's really good.

Guys, many thanks for your positive feedbacks.

"That railway embankment is a killer to tank movement - imagine a Regiment of Shermans trying to get through under the bridges with a battery of PAK40 on the other side...."

Yup, that is exactly what i had in mind when i made it... When my Easy Company is ready, there will be some airborne landing to secure that two tunnels to make the following armoured division enter free terrain and fight for the village...

Making the embankment was pretty easy! Few layers of styrofoam-strips, getting narrower from layer to layer, then covered with plaster. The railwayline are some Z-scale pieces, found on ebay...

Thanks - might try building one of them myself. Need it for a Goodwood scenario! Cheers

Ahh, actually - what did you use for the tunnels/bridges - more styro-foam, plasticard etc?

Another shout out for the excellent terrain. Some ideas there that will be be appearing on the Crisis Point 2013 - Arctic Strike tables. I think the railway embankment is brilliant. I have a pack of the Hornby planner track which is perfect for 6mm scale and will definitely be building one.

Great work, any chance of a few more pictures of the embankment.

Hi guys,

the tunnels are made of simple cardboard... I´m planning to give it another layer of grey paint, but for the moment it´s natural appearance seems okay...

When making the next photos I´ll make some more and detailed photos of the embankment. (And surely post them here... Wink

BTW, can post them directly here, not only the link?

By now I'm just piling on - but nice looking board. I need to remake my railroad embankment. Nice inspiration to do so.

I like the modular tile approach.

Cheers Ragnar65, I'll have a ponder on those - be handy for any of the WW1 plus gaming we do!
