I've replayed the game and had a good time taking pics and doing the report.
As this was a solo game, I had to make my fledgling website public for the first time so there is nothing else on it at the moment.

I'll be interested to hear if anyone else fares better.

Nice one with a lot of models.

Btw, it Appears you played out the first blunder correctly. Move forward, which in this case, puts them into contact w the Panther. And then winning they can consolidate able to move into the cover. That's a fun blunder to play out.

How long did that take you to play out?

How long? Good question.
I played it over a couple of days. Maybe 5 hours or more, but I took about 50-60 photos.

Looks really good Colin. Perhaps we should play it through sometime, perhaps when we have a whole day to do it.

Good idea. Perhaps someone with better luck on the Command Rolls than me will do better for the Germans. I'll email you.

Colin what size had your table?
Do you think that 4 x 4 would be big enough with 6mm miniatures?

When I said "Perhaps someone with better luck on the Command Rolls than me...", of course I should have added "or better tactics". BlushBlackeye

Hi Kalle
I was playing on a table 4feet wide x 2metres long including the extra deployment zone south of the river (sorry to mix imperial and metric). This is already shorter than suggested in the scenario, but worked well for me. If you were to compress it into a 4feet length I think it would be a very different game. It's the possibility that the fast moving Panthers could break through very quickly. You might manage it if you reduce the move distances and firing ranges to about 2/3.

I thought of a way you could cut off the southern 2 feet of the map, reduce number of turns and change arrival times. But I'm sure you can work something out that suits you.

By the way “U” on the map represents a Built Up Area. This isn’t shown in the key, but I’ve played another of his scenarios.
