A scenario of my own devising is available on my blog:

Hope it may of some interest. The rain keeps pissing down here in South Gloucestershire: just the weather for wargaming!

It's been of Biblical proportions here in the last hour, with even the plant pots getting floodedStunned.

Nice looking scenario though KeithSmile.

Interesting scenario Keith!

I'm going to show mu ignorance here - how big is a brigade? 2 battalions if infantry plus supporting elements? Or is it a lumping-together of what is available, a la Kampfgruppen?

Dave

p.s. I too have had a massive gaming slump - starting to get up out of it now, albeit slowly...

A (inf)Brigade is typically 3 battalions plus a company sized Brigade HQ and whatever support elements it's allocated from its Division

Chris (Happyme) is quite right of course. But for the purposes of BKC in general or this game in particular, a brigade could be any of the options that you and Chris mention, depending on how you want to play the game and what forces you have available. I tried to keep the game conditions in line with the rulebook scenarios, so I didn't specify exact formations, just relative points.

I am intending using a representation of the Warsaw Armoured Brigade in defence (2 infantry battalions, 2 light tank companies, 1 artillery battery) and battlegroups from 2nd Panzer Division in attack (2 panzer battalions, infantry battalion, motorcycle battalion, recce battalion, artillery battery). The Poles will have an armoured train in support, the Germans a unit of HS-123 ground attack aircraft.

As for gaming slumps - I think that's a subject that might make a good wargames magazine article. I've come across a number of gamers in recent years, mostly of a 'certain age', who just seem to get fed up with playing toy soldiers for a while. One friend said he reckoned he had just 'grown up'. I know what he meant - but now he's talking about getting back into it!

It's all probably part and parcel of 'mid-life crisis'!
