Posted on 11 June 2012 at 23:31:27 GMT I ran this scenario again with 2 of the guys at the club tonight. We tried 8 + 2d4 turns, rolling for 13 turns tonight. The Shermans were the first US reinforcements to arrive, but they spent their first 3 turns failing command rolls!! Whilst this was happening, some crazy shooting from the 47mm ATG (assisted by the Ha Gos) took out all 3 Stuarts. The IJA conscripts behind the 2nd river refused to move all game, leaving the Japanese armour woefully unsupported. At the end of turn 13, the Marines had managed to get their Recce unit across the 2nd river, with the Shermans in column crossing the bridge. The Japanese had lost all of their armour by this point and the infantry, having witnessed the firepower of the Shermans, were understandably reluctant to leave their cover. Hugely enjoyable and it played out totally differently to the last time. I look forward to trying it again.. |
