Played a short BKC game this evening - Charles Grant's Positional Defense scenario from his book "Scenarios for Wargames". Feel free to stop by and have a look!

Very nice!

Can you give as an OOB? Was the artillery on request or scheduled?

Think the german artillery played a big role when defending a position.

Tankdestroyers should not be positioned with a LOS to the enemy. Better let the enemy come in and try to take them from the flank.

Kalle,
OOB was very simple:

June, 1944
SOVIET:

1 BN CO (9)
1 HQs (8)
12 Stands Infantry
1 SPT Stand (MG)
3 x T-34/85

GERMAN:

1 KG CO (9)
1 HQs (8)
1 FAO (7)
4 Stands Infantry
1 SPT Stand (MG)
1 STUG Long Barrel
1 Wespe (purchased)
1 Nebelwerfer (purchased)
3 x rifle pits

Personally I am not sure if the Germans used their rocket artillery on an on-call basis. At least in modern terms, you can't "call in" an MLRS Barrage. It is either time-on-target, or prescheduled as part of a divisional or brigade fire support plan. So use of MRLs in the close fight is a somewhat controversial thing in my opinion. The German commander said machts nichts though, and used it anyway! Grin
