I've just put a post on my blog about an Operation Mitten scenario that I've put together for BKC II.

Please feel free to comment or register for the blog and also use the scenario if it's of any interest.

We just played this again with the British attacking from the North once more. The Germans defended heavily in the woods to the North of Landel and were at their breakpoint when we called it at the end of turn 6. Highlight of the game (if it can be called a high-light)Huh? was probably me rolling double six when calling in some 25pdrs, rolling another six for the blunder and hitting the sherman firefly under the template with 11 sixes out of 18 dice. So all in all, 14 sixes out of 21 dice.

Miracle we didn't lose more troops attacking, the British were at 12 units lost to the Germans 12. Not bad odds for attacking dug in Fanatical troops.

I really do like the British operational names like 'Mitten' much better than the of-so-butch ones that get churned up in today's wars Blush

Looks like a good one!

Trying to work out how to orientate the map to your pictures.
Which way is the table facing relative to the map please?
Thanks

Adam,

North on the map is at the top. If you look through the pictures, the third picture down is oriented looking south from the North.

All the other pictures are taken from whatever viewpoint looked best through the lens, so I can't really say where they were taken from.

Looks like a great scenario - can you elaborate on the victory conditions a little?

collins,

further research has shown that this scenario is historically wrong. I'll write up the "real" one later.

However, I'd suggest that the victory conditions are simply that the British must occupy the "chateau" and the village of le Landel by the end of the game. Turns at least 8 probably 12.
