Lest I be re-inventing the wheel, I wanted to ask whether anyone here has developed a scenario for the U.S. raid on Hammelburg in an attempt to liberate the P.O.W. camp just south thereof, in the spring of 1945?

I'm thinking this would make a good scenario at the "1 stand equals one squad/vehicle" scale.

There's actually some good resources on the web, but if anyone has particular suggestions for good maps of the area, I'd be grateful to learn of them.

First read about this about 25 years ago in George Forty's book 'Pattons 3rd Army'. This is not one I've considered as a scenario but it does have a good account of the raid and some useful maps IIRC. Will check the book and let you know. This book was the start of my fascination with Singling another excellent option for 1 stand = 1 squad/vehicle. Will be doing it once I have enough Shermans from FiB.
