We had a quick game today to try of the new theatre:-

Some may notice i've borrowed the forest basing technique from a fellow forum member (trees on 2ps which slot into modular holes)

Is it me or have Fieldworks dropped their prices a bit? I seem to remember them being a bit more expensive...

TWO PART POST this one...

PART1
I can only second the approval of Fieldworks buildings. I have many of them too! Many are very reasonably priced in my experience. (I have used both 20mm and 15mm of their work)

PART2
Great photos and great modelling of the snow on buildings and vehicles and bases in these photo links.

Tell me did you use one of those spray on snow sprays for the snow or just white paint dry brushed on?

so far I have only experimented a little with winter whitening for a few of my Ruskis (in 20mm)but as I have a Finnish army to finish (no pun intended) most of which I will do in summer uniform but some in winter snow suits or greatcoats and camo gear, I would like to know more of your snow effects please.

Great report by the way you guys.

Carl,

Thanks for the comments

The Buildings, Terrain and Germans are based with some cheap snow flock from Antenocitis workshop. This looked good when first applied with PVA but after it had dried looked terrible. To achieve the effect on those pieces I applied a second coat of glue and flock over the first then when this had dried I drybrushed it brilliant white.

I would note that Antenocitis workshop no longer sell the cheap snow flock, but I suspect the same effect could be achieved with some fine sand.

To be honest I am tempted with having a go with the army painter snow flock as the effect on Dave's ( US Para) bases looks good.

Another Alternative is:-

Though I have not got this to work reliably in 10mm
