Worked up a scenario for BKC based on the information from the scenario from this web site:

http://fireandfury.com/scenarios.shtml#NWEurope...

I have this set up and ready to go, will be adding pictures and the action as it happens!

Played through 5 turns so far, excellent battle happening. Probably two or three more to finish, unless the dice rolling gets crazy. Will have pictures and description up sometime tomorrow I am hoping.

Up to turn 5 done, will get to hopefully finish the game today. Americans are battered but holding, something tells me that Turn 6 will be the decider!

How is it going?
We played this scenario a few months ago and I'm looking forward to comparing outcomes.

I haven't found time to get it done, it sits there mocking me on a daily basis. I might have time to get some in today.

Found time to get it done tonight, finished up the AAR and posted a few more pictures. The Americans held for as long as they could, but the German troops proved too much in the end.

Good report, thanks.
German numbers overwhelmed the Americans when we did this scenario too. The American armour didn't make best use of available cover and lost too many units early on. It was downhill after that. From memory an M18 tank destroyer and Priest were dug in and did very well, but the rest of the armour was lost too cheaply.

Thinking it through afterwards, the German commander in our case was a little timid pushing in to the village. The KG with the STUGs ended up getting spread out and losing it's infantry in the forest. And the other KG got shot up pretty bad before it managed to get moving. I think an aggressive German stance may have served better, as the Americans are outmatched and outclassed. I'm working on some more scenarios for the Bulge, so hopefully another AAR is forthcoming...if I don't get distracted with my moderns that is!

Excellent - like it lots Cool

Aggressive stances are always best in my opinion...it's satisfying to take the fight to the enemy (not to mention that you get to roll dice quicker) Smile
