Posted on 06 June 2010 at 23:05:19 GMT On Saturday I "plumpired" a refight of 130 Brigade's attack on the villages of Eterville, Chateau de Fontaine and Maltot against stiff SS resistance. The game was played by 8 members of Peterborough Wargames Club on a 7.5 foot square table using 6mm figures in an orbat totalling almost 9k points for the Germans and over 10k for the British.
I'll be posting full orbats and a report and photo's on my website next week.
IT was a cracking game and although the British eventually captured Chateau de Fontaine after Eterville, they couldn't advance on Maltot as time drew on and much of their infantry was suppressed or dead. The Germans were severely attrited as well, being only 4 units from their break point. |
