Our first game using Blitzkrieg Commander, although the first edition as I haven't ordered the new one (yet!)

Basically just a simple scenario to try out the rule mechanics, and Comrade General Screwupski was having a field day as far as making mistakes about the rules were concerned. Blush

Nevertheless, everyone had a good time, the mechanics caught on fast, and we are anxious to give the rules a second try in a few weeks.

Here is the report so far- a third instalment to come once I find the time.

I like your apparoach to setting a game up - just use what you have! Far more interesting than a strict points-based game!

Also, was George Clooney playing? (guy in the middle, second photo, part 2) Grin

We thought it would be a good idea to replace gamers with actors for our more public appearances. I can't decide whether to have my place taken by either Jessica Alba or Scarlett Johanssen. Tough call.

Until I come to a decision, here is another update to the blog. One more post to come after this, where I'll go into more detail about the rules themselves.

Good bat-rep Stavka! Smile Did the Japanese have any AT capability?

And as you're dark-haired, I'd go for Jessica Alba...Grin

We had another BKC game at the club last week, this time using the BKC II rules.

Soviets pitted against a German and Japanese force (why not?).

You can read about it here.

We seem to familiarized ourselves well enough with the main mechanics of the game under our belts, and are now getting into to nitty-gritty details of the rules. The mechanisms are simple yet subtle, and the games play fast.

So far we have been pitching all we had against one another, but the next game we will see how point match ups go using one of the scenarios given in the book.

We're having a lot of fun with the rules so far, and there are Italian, British North African and Australian Far Eastern forces being built up, so we see lots of BKC games on the horizon here.
