Can anyone tell me about the quality of the Skytrex 1/200 range.I am looking at some M12 SP 155s.I am very reluctant to deal with Skytrex as a few years ago I paid for a French 1940 army that took an age to arrive. When it did arrive I wish it hadnt. The infantry looked like cardboard cut outs and the tanks were so bad I through the lot in the bin.

I have no problem with Skytrex 15s, I have painted lots for other people and I think they are quite good.It was my fault for ordering a 10mm army based on what I had seen in a 15mm range (I wont be doing that again).

Rubbish - way smaller than Pendraken. You'd be best to go elsewhere or scrachbuild Smile

Seen 'em -- I would avoid them. Go with the 1:150ish 10mm like Pendraken and Pithead, or go 1:300 / 1:285.

The quality of the vehicles is quite good IMHO but they are 1/200 therefore smaller than and not compatible with 10/12mm/N Gauge stuff. The infantry is by todays standards very poor but was the norm for 30 years ago when they came out.

I actually own a lot of their 1/200 vehicles plus infantry. The vehicles are really good, maybe exept for the early Pz IVs which are bit small when compared to the Pz IIIs.
The infantry is ok, but don't expect too much. What I've done is mixing the Skytrex infantry with the 10mm infantry by Irregular which is quite good. Adds a bit variety to your bases. As NTM said, the vehicles aren't compatible to other manufacturer's 10mm lines but are a good choice if you are looking for something being between 10mm and 6mm in size. I'm considering expaning my collection for use with the Rapid Fire rules set.

I have a lot of them, and they are OK. The infantry are static in pose, but a good basing job makes them look OK at table distance. Collected them in the 80's.

All that said, I've abandoned them for either GHQ 1/285 or Pendraken/Minifigs in my games now.
