There's loads...are you after plastic or metal? There are some great plastic pre-paints out there from the like of Dragon, Takara & other Japanese firms - as well as kits of course - which vary from the nice-and-simple to the "I can see the pilot's parting"...

Then you've got some nice metal [& resin] ones from Pendraken & Minifigs amongst others...and some people like to use 6mm [or smaller] - (a) because they're cheaper and (b) they look higher up Smile

As for displaying them in-game: it's not essential to have the models at all - but everyone knows you'll do more damage if you've got something to place down [& even more damage if you add sound-effects...]

If I'm using plastics [or 6mm metals] I'll make a stand from a large paperclip; for 10mm metals, most come with a metal flight stand - or there are loads of different ones available; something that can look really cool is to use an old retractable car-radio aerial: cos then you can vary the height!

We use 6mm planes with our 10mm BKC, I built a flying stand, 3 pieces of metal making a tripod that holds the stick bit from a GW flying stand then drill a hole in the plane:

The FOW ones are smaller, 1/144 i suspect.

As well as the above options there are 1/144 plastic kits, sweet and revell (and probably others).

The sweet kits live up to their name - though you may need to order from outside the UK. Hobby Lobby Japan (in Hong Kong) is good and has quick service - though check the exchange rate first!

I think Ian is right about FoW aircraft being 1/144 but I think they are quite pricey compared to other options.

One downside of the metal offerings from Minifigs and Pendraken is they don't come with decals.

'[& even more damage if you add sound-effects...]'

That'd be the 'dakka dakka' factor then?Grin

Thanks Guys, lots of choices I guess Huh?

Never really thought of using 6mm aircraft with 10mm, but really like the idea. Has anybody used Raiden aircraft with 10mm, are their stands tall enough to give the desired height effect in a 10mm game?

You could use more or less any scale as their size would depend on your (the viewers) perspective.
