Hi,

what colour where the German PAK 40 painted in late war? Did they paint them dunkelgelb with camo patterns? Did they repaint old ones? If not, what colour have they been originally?

I have just got a book, Panzers in the Bocage, that shows a row of Pak 40's in all different camo patterns, but definately Dunkelgelb base coated.

Dunkelgelb, then use your imagination with redbrown and olive green (after all that's what the crews did).Grin

You can also use any tone of Dunkelgelb, brown and green you like, the paint was often of... mixed quality (cheap additives such als lead-based whites etc.).
