Looking good. I've changed my Pithead IV's and III's to the new Pendraken items as the Pithead models are just a tad too big next to the rest of my stuff. The Pz38's etc seem fine though and your paint jobs are very good.

Thanks Stefan -- had a bit of dullcote nightmare with these.

Had done several light dry brushes on the edges and rivets, put a layer of Klear over the decals. Then put on a coat of brush on dullcote, which seem to cause a dark wash to happenAngry So I did a bit more highlighting again -- but I think the pre-dullcote versions were nicer.

Interesting that you are swapping Pithead to Pendraken -- I am busy going in the opposite direction. I have 3 PzIv and 3 Panthers (nicely painted) that I was thinking of swapping but might be interested in a swap?

Very nice Forbes - if you're not happy with the dullcote, give everything a wash of undiluted Klear...

...I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised Smile

You've lost me there Nik -- Klear is shiny? I would like them matt, but I don't want the dullcote to lift the paint off.

Got to love these - well done fred - makes the french almost worth collecting, painting and playing!

An inspiration to others for early war games

Forbes - really, try it Wink

On *untreated* figures, Klear = shiny...on *treated* figures, Klear will tend to take you back to where you were [this is a good solution to the spray-chalky-mist-matt-varnish-nightmare!]

And worst-case scenario? You do this & it makes no difference...it *will* add another layer of protection though anyway!

Love the Brits and French! I went Pithead with early Brits and they are fine (dunno why the PnzIV & III were off for me). I must get the French!Cool

Ah, OK Nik, Klear over the Dullcote. The problem with the dullcote wasn't the chalkiness it seemed like it was acting as a solvent to the paint. As you say another coat of clear can't harm.

Stefan the Pithead French are well nice, especially the Char 1bis - get some nowGrin
