What's the material and how did you do it?

Glad you liked it chaps. It was made in the following way:
Body is sanded and carved from Ureol, which is a modelling board that we use. In essence it is a very, very dense foam, but you wouldn't believe it if you work with it. The door and vision slits are carved in with an eye surgery blade and scalpel. The headlights are styrene rod fitted into pre-drilled holes. The wheels are from styrene rod.
The turret is turned from ABS rod with 1.0mm brass tube for the barrels.
The finished model is then sprayed with cellulose primer to give it a coherent finish and colour so that you can check the shape and surfaces are correct.
In terms of time taken, the actual making (uninterrupted) would be less than a day.
Hope this explains things well enough?

Sweet Fnord, that's a lot of work for one model
You need to see if Shapeways can cast a few up and flog them on!

I make Mgs from metal sprue using my Stanley knife and converted models a bit, but with the right material perhaps I could go for something like this.

It's got quite a few surfaces that need bringing together, to make it look right, hence the time involved.

Well, it's my full time job Toxic, so I'm used to it. I'd love to scratch build loads more stuff, but after a days work, it feels like a busmans' holiday

There's a reason I have an iPhone for home use, it just works and I don't have to piss about tweaking things after a day spent tweaking other peoples machines at work, so I know that feeling well
