Hmm, I normally use MDF and you can slide a sharp knife carefully under and slice them off - sometimes you get a slice of MDF underneath but that's not usually a problem, just something to raise figure height a little at random when you rebase Grin

The plastic FoW bases have little dips don't they, for the figures to sit in? So sliding anything under and slicing off probably won't work...

Do you ant to re-use the FoW bases? If not then perhaps cut the base apart or chop out round them then carefully slice off the plastic left underneath?

If you want to reuse the bases... I'm a bit stuck...

If you use acetone then beware, it is a very aggressive solvent. It will strip paint and attack the plastic bases.

I have used it to bring old white metal models back to "as new" state. A 24-hour soak turns any glue (including cyanoacrylate) to a jelly residue and removes all types of paint. Assembled models literally "fall apart" in the acetone, and a rinse or light scrub under the cold tap is all I need to start again from bare metal.

Cheers,

Pete

You could stand the bases in hot - not boiling - water and leaving for about 30 mins - that should loosen the superglue from the plastic base

I bought something like that - turned out to be acetone with some sort of thickener. It was about 20ml and 10 times more expensive than a half-litre can of acetone in the local Home Depot Smile

It might still attack the plastic bases...

Cheers,
