Posted on 12 March 2015 at 11:00:11 GMT Hi Guys, Over the last couple of years I have picked up a lot of 15mm Flames of War figures. Just interested to hear from anybody that has experience of using flames of war based figures with BKC? Or is it best to rebase them? Cheers Jason |

Posted on 12 March 2015 at 12:55:05 GMT Ian S and I have played a couple of games using infantry and command bases as used in FoW. Infantry AT stands can be used as markers to show which stands have an upgrade. We used vehicles unbased and artillery on FoW bases. It worked fine and gave a very good game. We played a scenario using FoW and the same using BKCII - both were ok, but preferred the BKC game. For 15mm scale models you can reduce the ground scale, but it played fine as written. Posted on 13 March 2015 at 03:30:47 GMT One of the best rounds of BKC I have played was with FoW mini's. We adjusted the distances accordingly in such a way that tanks had ranges accross the entire board. Made for an interesting tactical fight, had to use terrain and buildings to block LOS. Had to really think about movement and maneuver. |

Posted on 17 March 2015 at 14:23:58 GMT I´m planning to use 15mm and have tried a small solo game. My main concern is that ranges (specially for movement) are a bit short. This is specially noticable when a supressed unit is forced to fallback. In 10mm falling back 2 or 3cm really feels like the unit is giving ground but, in 15mm that distance is barely noticable. In fact, most vehicles are more than 10cm long so it feels a bit strange having an infantry unit besides them that is *slighly* pulled back when supressed. |

Posted on 18 March 2015 at 08:22:58 GMT I don't find it necessary to change ranges. Yes some do seem a bit short but doubling up because of those can through things out elsewhere. Not sure about the comment that most vehicles are over 10cm long. My medium tanks are on 60x40mm bases. |

Posted on 18 March 2015 at 14:21:43 GMT I think multypling by 1.5 would be better. I´ve tried using inches but i find that a unit could easily cross the battlefiled (regular 180x120 table) in a couple of turns and HQ and CO could freely move from one side of the table to another. |

Posted on 18 March 2015 at 21:45:34 GMT We've also used FoW models and basing for BKC and found it works fine. We multiply all distances by 1.5 (range, movement, command radius, spotting distances, the whole lot). |
