Yes, Halfords have a cammo spray paint range (honestly...)

I tried it for some PSC tanks recently and it seems to have worked out OK.

Pics and details here: http://madaxemandotcom.blogspot.co.uk/2014... and also http://madaxemandotcom.blogspot.co.uk/2014... there too

(I now also have a nasty suspicion that might be one of my fingerprints on the back of that fuel tank at the bank of the Churchill... oh well, must have more patience next time!)

Careful with them - some sprays can eat the plastic !

Nice. I've been using Halfords black undercoat spray for ages. I'll have to check these out.

http://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-bo... halfords online lists these paints - maybe your area isn't as 'urban' as where I live Smile

I dunno, Birmingham is pretty much the definition of "urban"! No, I think the Halfords I dropped in at was just too small to carry them as using the stock checker from the stores post code pointed me off to the next nearest one in Sutton which is a fair bit larger...

I'm the same as LukeR87 - black, grey and white - used them for years on plastic and metal. My local branch has the Khaki in stock. I'll have to check it out. Certainly make paint my Brits quicker. Gimme

Its a fairly new range I think

I used the Khaki to undercoat my brit infantry and then gave them a couple of washes of Peat brown ink. It is pretty pale, but this dark green is, well, very dark green...

The sprays need a lot of ventilation. I used spray on varnish years ago and that was not so good in the bedroom. Indeed more suited to the garage. Spray on black as an undercoat was difficult to get into all of the corners of the figures being painted too especially the 6mm. On a larger scale tank seems well worth it for an even effect.

I find I spray undercoat or varnish in the garden! No chance in the house. As I usually stick mini's to a "craft stick" first I can tip them up a little to get to the underside/awkward bits and get proper coverage.

Never could get sprays to work for me always ended up bumpy. Been years since I tried them though. Maybe they have improved somewhat. The results being achieved certainly suggest giving them a try again.

I e never had much problem with using them, and they were an eye opener compared to old style enamel undercoat where doing a quick bit of painting meant even the prep work took days Grin

Thinking about it they do seem even easier now though - better paint formulation maybe?

I always spray stuff outside. Black will never seem to quite get into all of the undercuts of a casting, so I usually finish it off by using some gesso on the other bits that the spray misses
