Just received an order from Arrowhead (formerly Wargames South) or some T70s, PzIII, a SdKfz 7 and FlaK88.

Wow! Stunned I haven't been this excited about toys tanks for years... the FlaK 88 is just beautiful. Loads of parts, so will be fun to put together, but has the option of being built on or off the wheels, and has two different gun shields. Only (minor) gripe is that two of the crew are doing the same thing...

Also, time from ordering to despatch: 3 hours 22 minutes, and they arrived the next day!

I'll post pictures of my progress constructing and painting it.

I keep looking from your T-70 bridge layer over to my painting table. I have a Minifigs M60 hull and am just beginning scratch building it into a bridge layer for CWC. Hope mine comes out as good as yours.

Cool - thanks for that, machinehead Smile

@CS: The sides of the bridge parts were made for me by SteveJ, who is a professional model maker, and all-round good egg. Grin the bridge sections are a bit delicate, so I need to be very careful painting it (and playing with it!)

There is something deeply satisfying about a successful scratchbuild...good luck with yours Smile

Dave, the 88s - what did you do with the bracket that supports the barrel when towed? It's too short to go on the trails like all the pictures show. It seems to fit onto one of wheel sets, the gaps right. But no pictures that I could find support the location for it?

I've stuck it on of the wheel sections, as this seemed to be the right place for it, based on pictures I could find, and on how it fitted.

I'll take a picture or two tomorrow (if I remember!)

Thanks. Is that position from a contemporary piccy? I've got 3 of these models and I'm not convinced the bracket is long enough. I'm close to making a conventional one using flower arranging wire. Confused

I've found these - not conclusive, but where I';ve put it seemed to fit best:
