Okay, I'm going to order a few 10mm from Pendraken to see what I think of the size.

Want to order some bases at the same time.

What is the best size.

Looking in the rule book and assuming they are 10mm the bases look to be about 60x30 for tanks, maybe 50x20 for troops.

Does that sound right.

I originally based mine on FOW medium bases, 2x1.25 inches or roughly 50x32 cm. That worked great for BKC, but not for Battlefront and IABSM, which I also like to play. I ended up basing all infantry on FOW small bases (1.25x1 inch) from Litko. 3 figures for regular infantry, 2 figures for different troops, like SMG or panzerscheck team. Vehicles are mounted lengthways on FOW medium bases, except for small vehicles like a Panzer I or II are on the small bases. Command and FO stands are on 40 mm round bases, although I may change that to 30 mm. Air defense weapons are on 40 mm squares.

In 10mm I use 30mm by 50mm for most vehicles & guns, and 50*25mm for infantry, four to a base, and 30mm square for support weapons like MMGs and mortars (and recce, and sall vehicles/guns esp soft skins).

It's a bit of a hodge podge of sizes, really and quite dependent on what actually fits on what!
