In one of LIDL's many weekly specials, they have artist materials. this includes Modelling Paste 250ml at £2.49 in both fine and coarse. I bought the coarse pot as a sample and it allows the building of effective looking (especially for 1:300th )stone walling. It is recommended for use with acrylic paints as it comes white. There are no warnings of toxicity though it has a pungent smell. It is a bit cheaper than vallejo's Sandy Paste and White Pumice (I bought recently at £5 a pot) but will complement these. Look out when you pass your local LIDL as there were fewer than 10 pots available at mine in Swindon.

Thanks for this, my local one is only 5 mins from where I work. I'll pop in and take a look tomorrow.
