Hi guys,

how would you base and field the German Panzerschreck?

I´m fielding a Infantry Company with one CO (Cp Cmd) and 3 platoons, each comprising of three squads and one PltHq. Now I´d like to add some Panzerschrecks to this company. Would you put the Panzerschrecks on seperate bases and add them as assets to the CpCmd? Or add one PzSchreck-team to each platoon?
Any ideas will be much appreciated...

They're factored into the basic infantry stand when (if) you buy them, so if you want them separate then maybe base them on a penny & just put them behind those infantry stands that have them?

In this instance I would base them as additional infantry stands under the CO. They perhaps should not have the same AP & hit stats as a standard infantry unit so I've been toying with the idea of using Recce stats instead. (Easy for me as I don't use points)

You could make up a few bases with more Panzerschreck than others just to show upgraded infantry and choose the best infantry factors from the lists for your fighting force.
Perhaps you could depict Kampfgruppe Porsch, a bicycle mounted, tank-busting detachment in the eastern German battles of April 1945?

Hi,

I make my infantry forces without Panzershrek on their bases and then make 3 or 4 extra bases with a Panzershrek figure included. When I want to upgrade for a particular scenario I jusr swap out the relevant number of stands.

In this case i would just use the Pzshrek bases under the CO stands. If you are worried about stats, come to an agreement with your playing partner and tweaks the Inf stats as you see appropriate.

I have done similar in the past as I have 4 Schwimmwagen with AT teams in them, and we just use them under the CO's command and treat them like softskins that have infantry riding in them, statign they have to disembark before firing.

Cheers, Craig
