Posted on 01 August 2012 at 10:45:58 GMT Some side on views would help but I think: A - without side view no idea, but looks artillery rather than AT B - Pak 40. C - 105mm or 150mm artillery gun. D - Pak 35/36 37mm AT gun. Hope this helps? |

Posted on 01 August 2012 at 12:21:16 GMT The stuff on wedge shaped bases is skytrex so a look at their listings might help with ID? The big one nearest camera looks like Russian 122/152mm? |

Posted on 01 August 2012 at 15:12:29 GMT The gun shield looks too flat for a Pak-38. It looks more like the ZiS-3: http://www.miniatures.de/russia/AT-76mm-ZIS-3-a... |

Posted on 01 August 2012 at 15:22:55 GMT I had some of those Skytrex on triangular bases in a box of generic Russian stuff - had assumed it was a Sov arty piece of some sort but hadn't checked further as haven't got to using them yet |

Posted on 01 August 2012 at 16:46:25 GMT Yes, it does look more like a Zis-3 than a PaK 36. It's not a Pak 38, that has a curved shield with a flange. Still, any captured M42 (Zis-3) guns were also used as an anti-tank gun by the Germans. Zis-3 http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u26/OldenBUA... Posted on 02 August 2012 at 11:53:52 GMT Thanks for all of this, they will be pak guns, I've no call yet for Red Army guns, and at 1/300 scale a little plier work can make them look like whatever I want! |

Posted on 02 August 2012 at 17:21:22 GMT The big gun at the green base could be a russian 122mm howitzer. The german army made extensive use of captured russian guns. My dad was artillerist at a navy costal battery at Atlantic Wall and he told me that they always had captured ordonance (russian or czech origin). The little gun could be a russian 75mm "Regimental Gun" . The barrel was shorter than the 45mm at gun but on same carriage. The two at-guns are left a 7,62 "Ratschbumm" and the other a german 75mm pak. The 50mm pak looks nearly the same. But I would say it is the bigger 75mm. Cheers Kalle |

Posted on 02 August 2012 at 18:46:16 GMT Thanks Kalle, I never thought about how much weaponry the Germans would have seized from other countries! Spoils of war! |
