Well my H&R order arrived in quick time about a week from the U.K to lil ole NZ.

Not to bad.

I ordered:
9x Panthers [good minis no major issue with turrets and barrels]
6x Wespe [happy with these no issues]
3x Hummel [happy with these no issues]
3x 88mm AA/AT [happy with these no issues]
4x ISU152 [some of them had bent barrels]
4x ISU122 [some of them had bent barrels]
3x 76.2 mm (MODEL 1943) INFANTRY GUN + CREW
and some command sprues, flamers, arty crew, motor bikes, stuff to add to command bases.

Will post pics on my blog tomorrow night.
Over all I am happy with my order this being my 1st time ordering from them as I mainly have CnC 6mm range.

the only issues I have is the Infantry are TINY I know that 6mm is small but compared to my Adler range they just come to the Adler shoulders. So my engineer flamers may not be used in the end due to the size be so different [and yes I knew that H&R are 1/300 and Adler are more 1/285] but its so like AAARRGGHHH!!!!

not sure how the motorcycles and side cars are going to stack up next to my CnC stuff.

Will try and sort out the stands tonight and see what they look like.

Cheers

I know the H&R are pretty true to scale and therefore look tiny. GHQ figures in comparison are massive and way out of scale IMHO, although they are quite detailed.

not saying the detail isn't there.... they have amazing detail on the infantry.

The tanks and SPG I got are pretty close to the CnC that they don't look small. just right as Far as I am concerned.

over all dam happy with the order and will be ordering more stuff off them in the future. Want to make a New Zealand Rifle battalion from the North Africa [Mid war list]. My popa served there got his service medals from that theatre so want to play that part of the war.

They can add variety, you'll only get bored using the same kit in each battle Smile

The Soviet ISU's and heavy tanks are one of the places where you need to think sideways a bit - the roam around in 5 vehicle companies, so use 1 base as a "company"

Nother one is the British Carrier platoon - no set of rules covers it well, I use 1 base per section of 3, so 4 for a rifke btn, and 3 per Motor Inf Coy. Lots I know, but negets the right effect.

So what is the main difference between having

Artillery Support unit and Artillery unit?

One's on-table, the other is off.

wish I could have more on table arty though....

btw how many battlegroups could I make? is it possible to have 3 battlegroups at 1,000pts each? and field them as one group choosing one of the Co's as overall commander?
