Posted on 02 May 2012 at 20:49:23 GMT Here is an exemple of the last version of my counters. They are mounted on black palstique card and I have removed caracteristiques to make them more clearly (before, they look like too much to wargame counters to my taste). I use the army list of Blitzkrieg Commander for unit caracteristiques.? http://kriegsspielcommander.blogspot.fr/ |

Posted on 02 May 2012 at 21:24:11 GMT Thanks The advantage of counters it's they allow to create big armies faster. I play by dividing the distances by two as for the 3mm figs. No matter the way of playing (figs, counters, etc.), the important it's to play at Blitzkrieg Commander and to have fun !! |

Posted on 03 May 2012 at 00:14:39 GMT Nice game idea, reminds me of kriegspiel counters from the re-issue of the Prussian kriegspiel back in 1980s (if memory serves me right - and so its probably out a bit!)using painted metal blocks. Carl |

Posted on 03 May 2012 at 08:26:44 GMT An interesting idea very neatly done. Could be great for real kitchen table wargaming. I'm thinking a 3' x 2' board with halved ranges? And as Ironmax says, you could experiment with new campaigns and periods quickly and cheaply. Thanks for posting! |

Posted on 03 May 2012 at 14:04:23 GMT Ironmax, do you do something on the backside (for example, a different colour or symbol) to indicate the unit is surpressed or do you use the backside to hold the stats like movement or hits? |

Posted on 03 May 2012 at 16:29:41 GMT For the back of counters, they are for the moment in color of the army without particular information. It allows me on the way back the counters to manage with some rules house a good system of fog of war. Nevertheless the idea to put the surpressed status in the back is good, the fog of war which can be managed with the addition of a counter on the concealed units. For hits, I use as on the photos 7mm dices. I ordered any kind of color of 7mm dices to manage also the formation according to colors at every unit of a formation begining with one hit dice of the color of its formation, one points being deducted according to one hit. |
