Posted on 05 December 2011 at 20:40:22 GMT I was looking at the FOW site the other day and noticed they have released what they call the "Greek" Bren Carrier. Now, I am far from an expert in this theater of the war, but the model looked like just about every other 15mm Bren Carrier model I have seen. Was ther actually a respective difference between the Greek Bren and those used by Britan and the rest of the Commonwealth? Or is this just a cash grab to sell a "new" model? |

Posted on 05 December 2011 at 20:49:55 GMT GKO101 is Greek Bren Carrier Crew http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=29... So you can use standaard carriers for Greek forces (though I have no idea if Greece actualy had many if any carriers) Most of their 'Greek' range consists of models from other ranges identified by the original codes. I see no aattempt at a cash grab here. |

Posted on 06 December 2011 at 05:00:26 GMT But, were they different then the Universal Carriers used by other Commonwealth countries. I guess what I am asking is a separate Greek version necessary? Not that I will be buying one either way, it was just a question that crossed my mind when I saw it on their site. |

Posted on 06 December 2011 at 09:16:19 GMT Which because of the way they mould the gunner won't fit in any other copanies carrier particulalrly easily. Plus the pack contains 5 crews which is interesting as their carriers come in packs of 3! |

Posted on 06 December 2011 at 10:07:26 GMT Their British Infantry (Italy) work quite well for Burma though (one of my current projects, wanted to do something a bit different and had the box sitting around for about a year waiting for me to paint them up for Sicily) |

Ah, I see. Still like Kiwidave's explaination better, though. |
