I have seen several pictures of 20mm forces in the gallery..
some have two or three figures on a base but most seem to be single figure? Same applies to 28mm I guess.

In each case is the base or single still a unit for the rules?

Really trying to understand which will be best for me to do when I get round to it - there is so much available in 20mm but Pandraken 10mm are so tempting too!

Personally I think 20mm looks too big for BKC, it has the visual look of a skirmish game to me at this scale. But then that is just my opinion.

I'd heartily recommend Pendrakens 10mm range. This is now my default scale for BKC after dabbling in 15mm at the outset.

Hope this helps.

I use 1/87 vehicles, guns & crews, and 1/76-1/72 infantry. 4 infantry or 3 crew and a heavy weapon on a 1.5" x 1.5" stand.

I do play bkc at 20mm as well as 15mm but I play it at company level, 1.base= section, 1 vehicle is a vehicle and bases are 50mm x 30mm which take 4 to 5 figures per base

As seem to remember that 3 of the figures related to a BKC stand. also some people were using 6 figures to represent a stand corresponding to the number of hits.

I have 3 figures at a 50x30 mm base.

Is the German in the 5th picture down about to throw a frothy beer stein?

I bought a box of german "Volkssturm" from "Orion" a few years ago.
They had a "Jokefigure" in every box.
This one has a tankard of beer in his left hand. Better to drink not to throw!Grin
He is very well supplied by the way. He has also a little barrel of beer and in the two belts around his body are no ammu but sausages!Grin
As we would say in Germany:
"Ohne Mampf kein Kampf!" = No food no fight!

Cheers Kalle

Like Panzer-Kalle, I also used 5x3cm bases with 3 inf figs in 20mm and either used them as 1 base = coy or 1 base = platoon.
