hello...hope i get some good tips on basing my command units as i have gotten a large German Force painted up...am know working on my Soviet Force with Shermans and the whole lot...but anyway..Ive seen the pics with the command base with 1 or 2 vehicles. Are those to meant to represent HQ for Companies or Battalions?...Ive gone with Battlefront small base's for Company HQ's and Poker chips for the Battalion HQ's. For Company HQ's I use 1 small vehicle with either a motorcycle combination or with an officer and some Infantry figres. With the Battalion I use 2 vehicles of either radio/command trucks or both with a motorcycle or without and two figures(1 officer and 1 soldier). Or am I basing them wrong? Would like some feed back on this.

There is no right or wrong answer, its entirly upto you, I like top to put a fair bit of stuff on my CO as the sort of centre peice to my army, for HQs, I do two for each formation, so for my tank battallions, one tank of the type (sherman, cromwell, etc) and for the inf a couple of guys and maybe a jeep.

Your command units sound fine to me!

Just enjoy yourself with the command bases. They are a representation so you can have mini dioramas to give reign to your creative side. I am using a radio van and a kubelwagen for a command base at the moment, just got to get some suitable figures to go with it, this will be for games up to company level. When Dragon produce the command SdKfz 251 I will produce a base for games above company level based on this photo:
