Posted on 21 August 2010 at 21:31:54 GMT The US had the Piper, what did the British use? Or did they? I am not sure how commonly artillery observers actually used aircraft in any of the armies, but as a modeling exercise it is too tempting to get a Piper and a Storch! Chris |

Posted on 22 August 2010 at 05:33:33 GMT Thanks guys. Can't believe that I forgot to look at the lists!!! Now I have to find a model in 1/72! Rather difficult to find the Piper and Storch! Cheers, Chris |

Posted on 22 August 2010 at 18:23:45 GMT Thanks guys. Looks like these are not commonly made. I found all of them too but a little tricky to get. Gotta love the internet. Chris |

Posted on 28 August 2010 at 19:30:49 GMT I have just come back from visiting Parabellum, a local model shop and they had an AZ Auster in stock. I had a look in the box and it is a nice model, however, the cost was £16 (26 CAD) which is a bit pricey. Anyway I got the web address of the box and here is the link: http://www.legatokits.cz/ Good kit hunting. |

Posted on 28 August 2010 at 23:11:43 GMT If I were doing Brits and could get it cheaper, like Pongo points out, I would get it. It would be a good talking point when put on the table. |

Posted on 29 August 2010 at 07:56:43 GMT Thanks guys. I agree - a little expense here goes a long way. And compared to the hundreds of resin, metal and plastic kits I have accumulated, it is a small price. Cheers, Chris |
