I've taken a few photos of some of Pitheads new Soviet tanks.

I like these and can see a Soviet force in the near futureGrin. I am thinking of going for a winter force, so would be interested in any tips for doing white wash cammo.

nice looking models Smile

Whitewash camo? hmmm... not sure about actually applying it but as to paint schemes...

1) overall white, worn off at the edges to show the underlying scheme

2) irregular bands of white over the base scheme

3) as 2) but with a fish scale style pattern (in white) between the bands...

are all good for soviets

Any idea how the T-34s compare to the ones from Pendraken?

TinnedStew - I was thinking option 1 but am less than sure how to do a thin white without it pooling in the lower areas

Pete - don't know size wise with Pendraken. These are my first soviets since a box of Airfix soldiers too many years ago.

Well he is certainly very prolific. Does Pithead have the widest range of WW2 vehicles now?

Adrian, have a look at their online shop. I think they have the widest range...

I think they probably do now. For British and German Pendraken may be slightly ahead but Pithead cover so many of the more minor nations and in quite some depth ( eg French and Poles) then I think Pihead must be ahead overall.
