any help here please ...

what colour were the chars used by the germans on D day. I know various units had them and the US paras I beleieve encountered a few along with other french stuff. Ive browsed and cant see any colour pics to see if they were in german grey, old french or german later war sand etc.

Tamiya do a German variant of the Char B1bis and I've attached a couple of links that may help. If you scroll to the bottom of the first link it gives details of the unit.

I have an article in a French magazine that said that they were dark yellow. Black and white pics in the article seem to confirm that.

I have just got Panzer Colours VI in the post this morning and there are several Char Bs in it, one is panzer grey and is from 102nd Panzer Abteilung (Flamm), Russia 1941; another is sand and green mottle from 6th Company II Battalion, 22nd Panzer regiment, 21st Panzer Division, Normandy 1944. I can't scan the images for copyright reasons, but you get the idea.
