Well, I did it, I bought my first 6mm to kickstart my new collection (the guys will probably go ballistic as they say I have an 'addictive personality' adn have thrown out most of my remaining stuff - which, to be fair was a loooooooooooootGimme)

anyhow, the flat is returning to a semblance of normality
(ie. you can see the carpetSmileGimme)

but, here I go again, my new addiction, I figure if I limit myself to no more than £30 of goodies a month I can build a good and varied collection (ie. I'll probably go just as mad as I did with the 15mm, trying to do every army, but at least I can do it cheaply, and hide the evidence from the guysGimme)

Anyhow, I bought 2 packs of CinC German PzIV's from the good folks at Sheffields Wargames Emporium (great shop went there when we went down to Triples one year and FREE POSTAGESmile)

So If I can just limit it to my 20mm Italians, some 35mm plastic for skirmishes and the 6mm I'll be ok (I hopeSmile)

need to start buying terrain at some point too of course

think I'll ask folks for advice so that I dont waste money this time aroundSad

Heh, I know Angus well, good man

but I can confirm that he has stayed true to his word, I rarely ever see him play WW2 in anything less than 25mm, on occasion 20'sGrin

Then move to a civilised region like Tayside or Angus, where we know that WW2 was actually fought on felt cloths and in 6/10mm.

BTW my son lives in Embra, he had to pay about a quarter million for a 2 bed flat. Yep I know it sucks.

heh,heh

Yep, my brother sold the family home (probably worth between a 1/4 and 1/2 a million), and blew the money, I saw none of it and have had my ties completely cut from the place I grew up in (and where some of my friends still live)

personally, that hurts, I probably would leave Ediburgh for good just to put it all behind me if I could ge t a job elsewhere and if I didnt have ties to hold me here

Well, I just got told by the guys at the club last nite that I "Only need one army"

bollocksSad

I know they are only concerned/trying to help (and given my track record - TOTALLY OVERBOARD on 15mm I can see their point)

but, nonetheless, I would like to build up a collection of various 6mm WW2 and Modern armies, I really dont see how that can hurt

Maybe the trick Alan is to totally finish painting one army before starting another. Now, that's rich coming from me as I have loads of shiny lead on the to-do pileWink!

I have heard that if you ever paint all the lead you have then you vanish in a flash of logic ... If thats the case I will live forever...
