Posted on 12 February 2010 at 12:27:48 GMT Minifigs are on the smallish side, but if you insist on natural human proportions their infantry is a good choice. I find some of their models, especially trucks, a bit fiddly.
Pendraken infantry are my faves; lots of detail, chunky but as a result easy to paint. With so many variations, it is easy to get that rather motley late war German look.
Since I have some 144 pre-paints the slightly larger pithead vehicles are a good fit for me. Their infantry works well with Pendraken, although I find the detail a bit lite. Of course, what works for you will depend on what you like to paint.
For Poland, really Pithead is the company. For late war, I have gone with mix and match; many of my tanks are pre-paints and I do have some Wargames South (lovely, but my wallet is still complaining). |
