Finally getting my act together with my battlegroups and I use Pete's old recomendations from BKC1.
Looking at basing some 37mm ATG's. Use 40x40mm? It looks
awfully lonely out there. Wink

I don't use 40mm x 40mm for mine anymore, they are on 25mm x 25mm bases.

Oh. Ok.

So far all the stuff I have finished are based:
25x50mm Infantry
25x50mm Infantry Support MG's and Mortars)
25x50mm Transport
30x50mm Armor (except those to big to fit)
40x50mm Artillery
50mm square CO
40mm square HQ
30mm square FAO/FAC

I know you're no longer basing vehicles, but I like them that way.

Just wondering Pete, why did you go with the 25mm square?
Did you do same with support? (would be one mortar or mg to a stand then right?)

I'm waiting on my BKCII book to arrive at the house.

Mine are all 40x40 -in both 6mm & 10mm: if they look lonely, clutter is your friend Wink

LOL... Thanks Nik.

Not sure how i'm going to do them right now. I think I will
wait until I get my BKCII book and go from there.

The 25mm square is kind of tempting though...

Smile I've just got used to [& am still happy with] the original basing as suggested by Pete in BKCI - as someone coming back to WW2 gaming, it was good for me to have some suggestions; and I think I'm a creature of habit Wink

Actually, I find it useful to spot units from afar Cool

Hello,
I am new to the game and after a quick flick through the rulebook, I cannot see any guidance on basing.
Coming from warmaster and 20x40 bases I was going to use similar for my 10mm British.
Are there any sites or guidelines for this?

There isn't a fixed base size for BKC - which is good if you have an existing army, but not very helpful if you are starting from scratchGimme

The sizes SCAdian gives above seem to be ones used by many people in 10mm. 40x20 would work, but would give quite close spacing to your figures (or you could get away with 3 figs on a base).

These are photos of my British Para battlegroup http://www.kerynne.com/games/BritishParas.html the infantry are on 50x30mm, the guns and HQs on 40x40, jeeps on 40x20mm. I tend to use 30x50 for tanks.
