Posted on 31 January 2010 at 00:54:06 GMT I've based a lot of my 10mm stuff on FoW bases. glued them on with B&Q solvent free adhesive then I used standard 'flexible' filler to texture the bases and hide the metal 'plinths'. |

Posted on 31 January 2010 at 09:33:28 GMT Hi Deus I was fooling around a few years ago and being broke I decided to play FoW with 10mm models to save money - £1.75 per tank or afv not £6.50 is a big saving! Then I realised that the FoW bases worked for FoW and for BKC too. I used the FoW 'medium' sized bases with the number of figures exactly as recommended by FoW. The wide side of the base is front/back. The FoW small bases are exactly half the size of medium ones if you base the figures facing the short edges - so I based up a few spare infantry figures in twos on small bases to put side by side with the bazooka, PIAT,PzSchrek guys on small bases to show units with IATW upgrades! I have used the 'big' FoW bases for 88s, nebelwerfers and 105mm guns etc. When I finish some tanks they will be going on FoW bases too to keep a 'uniform' look to the collection. Cheers Jules |

Posted on 31 January 2010 at 14:15:56 GMT I use FOW medium bases for everything 10 mm, save the odd giant tank. Check it: http://www.laarmada.net/foro/index.php?topic=98... |

Posted on 31 January 2010 at 16:01:58 GMT Thank you for your answers! Well, so I wouldn't be the only one to base on FOW bases and I could use my FOW surplus bases to a good end |

Posted on 07 February 2010 at 17:58:48 GMT Hi guys, I recently changed from playing 10mm Warmaster to BC and have a couple of questions. Does a base of say 4 figures represent a platoon or sections strength? Also in el suave images he has some nice foliage and sandbags, where do you get these items from? Cheers |

Posted on 15 April 2010 at 04:28:35 GMT ukdraxion, Short answer: Yes. Long answer: It depends on what level you decide you are playing at. You can call a stand a Platoon / Battery or you can call it a Section / Individual vehicle / Gun. It makes no difference game mechanics wise if that 9 base formation is a Company or a Battalion... -Patrick |
