I need some early war German infantry for Norway, either in greatcoats or, if possible, Gebirgsjager in ski caps.

Any suggestions?

The Pithead greatcoat figures are OOP and I'm not sure if the Pendraken Ardennes infantry or winter equipment figures would be suitable?

Thanks

Not seen em, but by the Ardennes most Germans had ankle boots, which would be wrong. Could use a proportion of Falscrimjager.

Gebirgsjager wear mountain boots so the boots and anklets may be ok, it's the other kit (Pzfausts and MG42s) that's likely to be wrong!

Pendraken do two 'winter ski troops' or the like coded GR13 & GR14. I had a pack of GR 14 (I guess?) with K98 rifle in the gebirgsjager style reversible anorak and cap but I don't know if that was worn in 1940? There's also the problem of no suitable support weaponds packs - although the Pendraken 'winter kit' Germans may be suitable?

I think that Wargames South still do 10mm great-coated Germans.

Sadly, Dave and Nick, some of us do worry about boots and like details in 10mm!

I didn't say it was logical, or sensible, I just said that we worried about it!

Nik,

top picture appears to be fluffy moccasins, my girlfriend has a pair as slippers for round the house.

Second one I think they're thigh high f-me boots.

Care to prove me wrong?Grin
