Posted on 14 September 2016 at 08:25:14 GMT Indirect artillery fire hits infantry on 4, 5 or 6 in the open, 5 or 6 in cover like woods, and 6 if dug in, fortifications, etc. Arty always hits armour on a 6 (unless open topped IIRC). For artillery to fire direct, they'd need to be able to spot, so either very close (don't have rules in front of me so can't remember how close), or the target would have had to have fired or move along the edge of the woods in sight of the opposition to be a legitimate target. At least that's how we play it. |
