Hallo,
I think that there is an error in the rule for LOS in
impenetrable terrain situation; In fact in this type of terrain LOS is 5 cm for units with low profile (observer and target)and 10cm in the other situations(ex. average and low profile).
But in the high area terrain the LOS between an average profile and low profile is 5 cm. With this rule there is
a better LOS in the impenetrable terrain that in high area
terrain.

I hve been looking through the rulebook but can't seem to find the impenetrable terrain LOS rules.Question

Do you have bkc or bkcII?

But what i think is going on is a standardization of impenetrable terrain. Impenetrable terrain can be clifs but can equally be a swamp. The first you cannot look through and the second one you can easily look over.

Maybe Pete made a compromis for including situations like that?

It's in the errata, Peter:

Page 6. Area Terrain
Area terrain can be classed as Impenetrable, whereby troops must be in contact with the boundary of the terrain in order
to be able to see into or out of the terrain. Visibility inside impenetrable terrain is limited to 5cm where the observer and the target both have low profiles, and 10cm for all other profile combinations.

To make things easier, I'd keep the visibility the same as in area terrain.

Yes OldenBUA, I think that the visibility inside impenetrable
terrain is the same of the High area terrain.
