How many times can a FAO/FAC call in the same asset per turn?

Once.

Being picky, Assets are not off board air/artillery units.

Assets are pre planned air/artillery attacks, paid for in advance, and requiring an available off board air/artillery unit.

An off board air/artillery unit can only be used once per turn. If the first FAO fails to call an off board artillery unit in, another one can.

This is one reason that I like the US army lists. HQs can request off board artillery.

Thanks Steve, that is helpfull. What is throwing me off is the -1 modifier for the FAO to order again in the same turn. Is that if I had 2 guns and wanted to order one to shoot at target A and then make another command roll to have the second gun shoot at target B?

Yes, but its much better to have 3 fire at the first target, and another 3 at the second one though...

Or if you're really evil, 1 or 2 at the first target to suppress; then 4 at the first target again to make sure they fall back 11+cm.
