Has anyone worked out the stats to the T30 GMC? Would it be capable of indirect fire?

Thanks in advance!

Books all packed, so not certain which this one is, but the answer is always yes. All US tanks, and GMC with guns larger than 57mm had an artillery quadrant fitted. The T30 was limited standard - cant remember if it's the 75mm Pack How or the 105mm. Either would be used indirect.

Any thoughts on rules to replicate that - I quite like the idea of using Shermans as glorified armoured infantry guns behind cover, then charging over into the remains like an armoured avenger!

Or crossing the Rhine & in support of recovery at Arnhem IIRC?

Yeah, I guess buying them as off table arty would probably be best way to replicate them. Shame :at)

The Canadian army in their Scheldt campaign used their tanks and (particularly it seems) tank destroyers as artillery primarily because there was very little in the way of German armour to oppose them. Mind you, the terrain was pretty hostile to tanks, what with flooded poulders and flat terrain in which a vehicle would stick out like a sore thumb.
