A hurricane armed with 40mm cannon has an anti armour of 6, but in the special rules it can double its attacks to twelve against 3 afvs.Does this mean that it can attack more than three afvs in its target area but any more than three and they are attacked with six dice.

In this case, if there are more than three enemy units in the fire-zone you have two alternatives:
a) Roll the normal number of attacks against each unit in the fire zone. Remember the number of attacks is adjusted if the aircraft has been hit by AA fire.
b) Three of them can be selected, then double the attacks against each of them and have no attacks against the rest. You can not use this option if there is a friendly unit in the fire-zone.
