Does area terrain block LOS from one side to the other if both units are tanks and neither touching the terrain feature ?
If you are within 10cms of the edge as an infantry unit, can you see out of area terrain and through open ground for say 30cm and see up to 10cm into another area terrain feature to spot enemy infantry unit?

I think Visibility rules on page 6 advise.

Under the Line of Sight paragraph ...

" Line of sight is blocked by any of the following...
Intervening linear terrain, low area terrain, high area terrain, high ground and smoke screens"

Subsequent rules for each terrain type then provide further details ...
Linear terrain blocks unless target or observer are in base contact with the terrain. .....
LAT and HAT have rules about max Los range when target or observer are in the terrain. ...

but the headline rule on intervening terrain still covers when neither are in that terrain.
