Can someone confirm how Recce itself is spotted? This is how we've been playing it: Using as an example a Honey tank unit, it moves to the high ground and spots from there. I've assumed that the Honey (unless it fires)merely represents the crew having left it out of sight and crept to the front of the high ground peering through the vegetation etc. Can the Recce unit only be spotted if an enemy unit approaches to within it's initiative distance or within 10cm.low profile unit. 20cm.average profile unit? Thanks, Ivan

Unless there is some sort of intervening terrain that blocks LOS, the recce unit would be spotted using the standard rules.

For this reason, I usually try to tuck my recce units behind a hill, deep in woods, or in other such terrain where there is no chance at the enemy having direct LOS. I then use its special spotting ability in the initiative phase to spot the enemy.

Note that recce can spot other recce using their spotting ability so that's one way of countering my tactics.

Very nice tactical suggestion siggian. Consider it stolen!
