As I understand it Infantry/Tracked vehicles count areas of soft snow as High Terrain for movement purposes and low terrain for LOS/LOF.

Wheeled vehicles can't cross soft snow because it counts as a linear terrain and linear terrain is impassable to such vehicles.

However I can't find anything which covers Ski troops. Ski troops appear to move 20cm per bound irrespective of terrain but don't seem to have any special capacities when it comes to soft snow. This seems odd.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Isn't it the case that skis ignore soft snow - but need a deploy order to mount / dismount from their skis since they are a "transport" unit?
