A quick question

Assuming a command unit has been subject to close assault, it has been hit but has not been knocked out or recoiled off the table.

Does it suffer any penalty in it's next turn?

You can't close assault a command unit. Just like a command unit can't be a target of firing.

You can overrun a command unit as per page 13. "It may not then move at the end of the command phase" That's the penalty listed in the book.

But if you allow suppression throws for any hits the command unit took during the overrun you could also have a suppressed command unit that can't issue any orders during the next turn.
