The Spanish Civil War army list have certain armoured vehicles with such poor armour than can be fired with MG.

That leads me to a question: A MG is AP 3/60 which, if they can affect those vehicles, is way more effective than dedicated AT guns of this period (37mm gun is AT 2/40, for example).

So i guess we need a specific AT value for MG firing on those AFV´s. Maybe an AT 1/40 would be enough?

Pretty much why I still use the old rule about MGs only suppressing AFVs.

Pete might be taking the view that the MG are better. On the basis that a stream of projectiles coming in is better than one large(ish)one that comes in some side and and blasts through the other cleanly.

Those vehicles are not 100% bulletproof but that doesn´t mean that MG fire should ignore them. At 60cm range i guess bullet doesn´t have much penetration value.

I like the idea of using the old supression rules. I´ve been thinking about it and in fact i´m going to make AFV with a save value of 6 (really weak ones) being able to be supressed this way...and since all SWC only have a saving of 6+ this rule will fix well into the period.
